I catch a train to Rome . 2-25 min trip . Prices in fact are similar if you catch a plane but my decision to travel with train was because i want to see more things on my way to the city.
What to see and do in Rome
Things to see and do in Rome are well known. Vatican, Colosseum etc. This is how i saw those places from my personal angle. How i felt . My first thing was Trevi Fountain. My hotel was on 500 m from the place so first day i went to see this amazing fountain. Trevi was build in 1732, open for pubic 30 years later . The design of the fountain will caught your eye cause is build in magnificent style. Not far from there is one wonderful basilica. The Basilica di Santa Maria Maggiore, or church of Santa Maria Maggiore, is a Papal major basilica and the largest Catholic Marian church in Rome, Italy, from which size it receives the appellation “major”.
Second day i decide to go to the Colosseum and the Forum. Two ancient places that speak about glory days of Roman empire. During the Empire those two places were main places for a entertainment. Place where history of Rome was shaped.
The building it self is quite impressive and is fascinating how they use a technique and design so ahead of their time. Standing there you can still felt some of the energy that was present there .
Third day was for Vatican . Place where is the headquarter of one of the catholic church and home of the pope. Vatican is part of Rome where you can see the power and significant of the church. Vatican museum is highlighting the history of the church stretch 2000 years. Its Vatican Museums house ancient Roman sculptures such as the famed “Laocoön and His Sons” as well as Renaissance frescoes in the Raphael Rooms and the Sistine Chapel, famous for Michelangelo’s ceiling.
For foodies… where to eat in Rome

Places like La Gatta mangiona offer great food , fantastic beer menu and great atmosphere . La Gatta is simple cat-themed restaurant serving creative pizzas & numerous international micro-beers.

Rome have lot of different accommodations . From hostels and guesthouse who are cheaper to nice hotels. Price is different and depend from the style and location. For example i found a hotel near the Trevi fountain for 30 euro a night which was not much at all. There is also a backpacking hostels that can offer you a bunk bed for 12 euros.
This was my experience from Rome , not much written but i don’t have that much space to write all impression from Rome. I will highly recommend you to go there and see it for yourself.
