During my travels in South America in 2014 i visit Ecuador country the is set in the Andes , has combination of beautiful seacoast and amazing mountains.Ecuador is a country straddling the equator on South America’s west coast. Its diverse landscape encompasses Amazon jungle, Andean highlands and the wildlife-rich Galápagos Islands. In the Andean foothills at an elevation of 2,850m, Quito, the capital, is known for its largely intact Spanish colonial center, with decorated 16th- and 17th-century palaces and churches including the ornate Compañía de Jesús cathedral. There is plenty things to be seen especially in the nature and most important for most of us doesnt cost much. Ecuador has a very low prices on accommodation and prices of the food.Let me start writing about some things that must be seen there. First i will start with capital Quito. Ecuador’s capital, sits high in the Andean foothills at an altitude of 2,850m. Constructed on the foundations of an ancient Incan city, it’s known for its Spanish colonial buildings dating back more than 500 years. It all can be taken in from the TelefériQo, a gondola ride up the Pichincha volcano, with the Parque Vulqano amusement park at its base.
Cajas National Park is a national park in the highlands of Ecuador. It is located about 30 km west from Cuenca, the capital of the province of Azuay.Place where you can enjoy in the nature, fishing, swimming , hiking and really enjoying in the untouched nature in this area.
Cotopaxi National Park is a protected area in Ecuador situated in the Cotopaxi Province, Napo Province and Pichincha Province, roughly 50 km south of Quito. This park is very near to the capital city and usually there is daily tours to this place and back.
Baltra Island, or Isla Baltra, is a small island of the Galápagos Islands. Also known as South Seymour, Baltra is a small flat island located near the center of the Galápagos. It was created by geological uplift. Place where you can enjoy in snorkeling scuba diving and relaxing on the sun. Beautiful beaches will leave you speechless .
Galápagos National Park, established in 1959 and beginning operations in 1968, is Ecuador’s first national park and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.. Place where people enjoy watching rare species of turtles and other type of animals.
Floreana Island is an island of the Galápagos Islands. It was named after Juan José Flores, the first president of Ecuador, during whose administration the government of Ecuador took possession of the archipelago. You should go there if you want to enjoy in amazing scuba diving sites.
The climate of Ecuador varies by region, due to differences in altitude and, to a degree, in proximity to the equator. The coastal lowlands in the western part of Ecuador are typically warm with temperatures in the region of 25 °C.
People always ask me when is the best time to visit this amazing country… well everytime is great, Summer has lovely area for hiking and of course for swimming and scuba diving, Winter snow on the mountains and great view .
