One of the most visited city and one of the most busiest transportation hubs in Europe is Budapest, Budapest, Hungary’s capital, is bisected by the River Danube, and the 19th-century Chain Bridge connects its hilly Buda district with flat Pest. A funicular runs up Castle Hill to Buda’s Old Town, where the Budapest History Museum traces life from Roman times onwards. Trinity Square is home to 13th-century Matthias Church and the turrets of the Fishermen’s Bastion, which offer sweeping views. The location of the city and the history that has Budapest fast grow in a one of the major touristic destinations in Europe. Many companies have flights from there including domestic based Wizz Air that has cheap flights all over the europe . We arrive with a car from Belgrade because we want to discover some nice places on our way to Budapest.
Budapest is offering many things from nice nature for those who love to be in nature to rich nightlife offering by the numerous clubs. Also there is plenty of old turkish amams who offer a great spa experience and relaxations.
In this article i will just mention few places that you can visit but fell free when you go there to explore the city on your own. There is a plenty of activity to be done there and depend from what you looking for . Budapest is the cultural center of the country and Europe in general, many museums from the Austro- Hungarian empire, many galeries that show some of the greatest Hungarian painters and sculpurs and many place where you can enjoy in classical music from likes like Franz Liszt , Bela Bartok, Franz von Vecsey and others.
To go to Budapest and to visit Buda castle is really shame , Buda Castle is the historical castle and palace complex of the Hungarian kings in Budapest, and was first completed in 1265. In the past, it has been called Royal Palace and Royal Castle.
For relaxing in the hot water springs visit one of the best hot water springs in Europe Szechenyi thermal bath. The Széchenyi Medicinal Bath in Budapest is the largest medicinal bath in Europe. Its water is supplied by two thermal springs, their temperature is 74 °C and 77 °C, respectively.
For maybe the best view on the city you should visit Fisherman Bastion .The Halászbástya or Fisherman’s Bastion is a terrace in neo-Gothic and neo-Romanesque style situated on the Buda bank of the Danube, on the Castle hill in Budapest, around Matthias Church.
Vajdahunyad Castle is a castle in the City Park of Budapest, Hungary. It was built in 1896 as part of the Millennial Exhibition which celebrated the 1,000 years of Hungary since the Hungarian Conquest of the Carpathian Basin in 895. This place is amazing combination of nature and history.
János-hegy The tallest of the Buda hills, it rises to 528m. From the tower on top of the hill, known as Erzsébet kilátó, one can get an imposing panoramic view of Budapest. This is the great place for those who want to hike and enjoy in a walk in nature. Is not far from the city center so is easy to get there.
The city is great to be visit all year around , offer all kind of thing so will not be boring where ever you go 🙂 We coming to this city over and over again and we enjoy every time.
